Burger King creates social media sites for delivery service

In the beginning of this year, Burger King announced it was testing delivery service in the Washington, D.C., area.

The service has since been incorporated into a total of 16 restaurants in Virginia and Maryland. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Burger King already has a delivery service in place in various markets around the globe and, according to a spokesperson, the company is happy with the preliminary results in its U.S. market test.

The company has not made a decision to rollout the service nationally. However, the company's BK Delivery Twitter site (@BKdelivery), which has nearly 50,000 followers, has indicated to inquiring fans that the service "will be expanding soon."
