Sonic Drive-in is using social media as all restaurants should be, marketing and promoting new material to the public. By debuting their Snapchat presence on this one day and one day only Sonic will introduce their 10 second "Mystery Disappearing Slush" flavor in which consumers will only be able to have in Sonic stores. With Snapchat being favored among the Millennial generation, we can see who Sonic is reaching out to. "WE were looking at a way to really give that group of customers - the Millennial group and teen group - something super unique to them and would come to them in a way they want to be talked to."
