Engagement is measured in a variety of ways. We approach it by taking three different types of engagement into accountability. Direct engagement, or solicited engagement, is easy to replicate and perform to enhance a score like this. We decided to take it a few steps further by analyzing unsolicited engagement and peripheral engagement with extended conversations. At the end of the day, it’s important for brands to realize that conversations about your brand will take place whether you’re part of them or not. To get a fuller spectrum on engagement, this approach is extremely advantageous. Engagement is a third of the overall RSMI score, so it’s very important for every business to be able to grow brand awareness and keep the brand or business top of mind.
